The PackOS Team

PackOS is built by the team behind Calyx Containers. Our guides are written and reviewed by the people who actually run that production — not a content desk.

Why our guides are different

Most packaging content on the internet is written to rank, not to be right. Ours comes from the other direction. Every article is grounded in what we see on real jobs: files that bounce in preflight, seals that fail on the wrong laminate, pallets that cube out before they weigh out, compliance rules that shift the week you ship. When a guide gives a number or a rule of thumb, it's one we'd stake a production run on — and when the honest answer is "it depends on your state / your converter / your substrate," we say that instead of inventing certainty.

What we cover

DESIGNDielines, structural design, and how a flat file becomes a folded, sealed package.
QUALITYPrepress, color management, preflight, and print-readiness — the checks that decide whether a file runs clean.
LOGISTICSPackout, palletization, freight class, and the physics of shipping packaging at scale.
COMPLIANCEChild-resistance, EPR, and category rules — referenced by name, never overstated.

How we keep it accurate

Guides carry a visible publish and last-updated date, and regulatory pieces are reviewed on a recurring basis because the underlying rules move. Where a topic is genuinely unsettled or state-specific, we point you to the authoritative source rather than paraphrase it into false precision. Nothing here is legal advice.

Individual contributor bylines are being added. Until then, articles are attributed to the team collectively and reviewed before publication by our production and prepress leads.
